Pro-Lix Cattle Supplement

Silver Creek Pro-Lix  started approximately 10 yrs ago when we thought our cows could look & perform better. We have seen many in the cattle business come & go, but overall were pretty impressed with the results we achieved from using Pro-Lix liquid feed supplement on our own cattle. The cows seemed to breed back better and we noticed larger weaning weights. There are a lot of other similar products on the market, but after cleaning “leftover” from other brands it was clear the Pro-Lix brand did a better job, reminding even us “you get what you pay for”. The Pro-Lix even seems to make cows do a better job of cleaning up pastures of dried grasses and utilizing poorer hay/forage crops. We do try to give personal attention to all customers. Ken has been in the cattle business for most of his adult life and can answer most questions, such as how much an average cow consumes, cost effectiveness, when/how to feed, and generally most other issues. If not, he will find out for you. Farming is a full-time job here so usually if Ken cannot be reached call Dale (Ken’s personal secretary) to deliver to you, offer advise and whatever else a customer may need. We thank all of you and truly appreciate your business.

Important Prolix Information

Numerous research studies confirm that proper nutrition ensures cows wean more, healthier, heavier calves.  Feeding Pro-Lix has been shown to improve digestion and absorption of nutrients vital to the cow's pregnancy, and to the birth of healthy newborn calves. In addition, when calves consume Pro-Lix too, their growth is dramatically improved over those with no supplementation.

Proper nutrition during pregnancy is essential to healthy calves.
A paper published by Larry R. Corah, of the University of Florida, asserted that the last two months of a cow's pregnancy were the most important, nutritionally. "Research has shown clearly that improper nutrition during this period will influence calf birth weight, calf vigor, and calf survival. There is no advantage to reducing the cow's plane of nutrition to reduce calf size as a means of alleviating calving difficulty. Poor nutrition during this period will ... reduce calf weaning weights." When you see the results of research showing how much more nutrition your herd digests when a liquid supplement is fed, it becomes obvious why cows on Pro-Lix produce more, healthier and heavier calves each year. Pro-Lix provides the catalyst for better digestion of fiber, protein and other nutrients so important to the development of a healthy fetus.

Maximizing Your Investment

To maintain high-producing herds, cattlemen have learned they must make sure the entire herd gets the nutrition they need. And the best way to maintain proper nutrient levels is to feed Pro-Lix. Pro-Lix, a family of molasses-based, nutrient-dense liquid supplements, provides energy, protein, vitamins and minerals to help your cows produce more, healthier calves, and your calves to gain more weight. Our liquid supplements outperform dry supplements because, while they are fed free-choice, they are very palatable to the animal and allow it to balance its own nutrient intake. Pro-Lix is economical to feed, has proven consumption control and is backed by research. Make sure your cows and calves get the nutrition they need for maximum production and weight gain. Feed Pro-Lix year-round!
